[For Jaenelle] I have a rendezvous with life...

Jaenelle is curled up in her usual place, in her chair by the fire, and reading a romance novel. It's very silly and even she thinks it borders on the absurd, but she's enjoying herself nonetheless. And looks up as Tsuzuki enters, and then promptly sits up a little straighter. There's something about him...something resolved. Determined.

"Tsuzuki?"

"Hey, Jaenelle," he says, approaching, pausing, shoving his hands into his pockets and then drawing them out again, nervously, even downright awkward.

"You got a minute? There's...something I gotta ask you. Something big I need to talk to you about."

"It's a long story: I had a seal put on the darker side of my soul some years back. I've been pretty much oblivious to it, but... I don't feel like a whole person, living this way," he says. "There's a whole chunk of my personality as well as a lot of less than pleasant memories behind there, and I want to know what's there.

"The problem is, it's complicated, there's layers to it, and while I have some magic myself, I can't take it apart."

Jaenelle chews on her lip. "You want me to...undo this magic, and make you what you were," she says, slowly, carefully. There's a prickle of unease, even if at first blush it sounds...perfectly natural.

"Yeah, it was put there by the god of death in my world, the master whom I serve," he says. "It seems he'd put it there while I was still alive, and I have no ides why he did it. But it's on there for a hundred years and I want to be what I was before." He's clearly thought this through, though there's some hesitance of his own.
