school and surgery
well...kind-of a lot has happened since i last wrote!
thursday was the first day of school obviously. i only have five classes, so its pretty cool having early release. court and jeb are in a couple of my classes, so that i a lot of fun...except i can tell already that court and i might be heading for trouble in sociology. lol we sit next to each other and talk a lot. hehe oh well...what can best friends do???
after school on thursday i went to the hospital to see nate, but he was still in surgery. he was in there from about 12 to 3:30...so he was under for about 3 and 1/2 hours. when we first went into see him he wasn't in great shape. the surgery went well but he felt really sick and was in a lot of pain. they gave him pain meds and he was doing a lot better. today is sunday...and his pain pump that was pumping meds into his hip was taken out today (ick that was kinda gross to watch! i couldn't believe how long the cord thinger was!) and he is doing pretty well. hopefully he can go back to school monday or tuesday.
today was a pretty good day...except i had to get up at 7:30 to work 8-1:30, which sucked as usual. then i went home, showered, cleaned the kitchen, and drove up to nate's. i went to amanda's (tim's gf) house for her birthday/going away party, which was alright. then i went to chad's brother's wedding reception at blackwoods. it was pretty nice, and fun to hang out with becky, ben, and court. it was nice to get a chance to say hi to chad too. then i came back to nate's and watched "hotel rowanda." OMG one of the saddest movies i have ever seen. please see it...it is so eye opening, and makes you kind-of sick to see the reaction of our own government. ahh i can't even think about it, the whole thing is so unbelievably awful.
hm...thats pretty much all for now. me and nate are now watching "monster-in-law" so i am gonna go snuggle with my lovey. more later.
