Penpals please! <3
Hello everybody! My penpals have kind of dwindled in the last year or so, and I am overflowing with adorable stationery (and can't stop buying it!), so I am looking for some new penpals!

Hobbies: Baking (when it's not too hot), reading (novels, comics, and manga), playing video games (mostly 3DS lately; I'm a big fan of the Professor Layton games and am incredibly excited about the new Animal Crossing coming out in a few months!), cuddling my two jerky cats, and of course writing letters!
Music: I used to be more into music and on top of things, but now that I'm out of school I don't get as many good recommendations for new things. Lately my favorites have been The Old 97s and Rhett Miller, but I've also recently gotten into Japanese rock and pop from the 80's and 90's. I love the Engrish lyrics and the awesome new-wave type sound. My favorites are TOKIO, Kome Kome Club, and Kinki Kids. My old favorites were Weezer (but I haven't even bought their last 3 albums, sadly), Saves the Day, Rufus Wainwright, The Arcade Fire, Belle & Sebastian, Bishop Allen...There's not much I actively dislike in terms of music, though.
Movies: Something once again that I used to be very much into, but lately it takes a lot for me to really want to see a movie, so I can't really point to anything super recent that I loved. My old top favorites that I could watch over and over are Amelie, Hook, Drop Dead Fred, Fight Club, Valley Girl, and Mallrats. My favorite movie from the past few years is probably I Love You, Man. Isn't that even several years old? ¬_¬ Sorry, I'm bad at making lists.
Fav Cute Stationery Brand/Character: My favorite brand is definitely San-X. Almost everything they put out is super adorable. My favorite character is Nyan Nyan Nyanko, who is sadly retired. Tarepanda is also very high ranking on my list of adorableness, and who doesn't love Rilakkuma? Mamegoma is also awesome, especially when they put on costumes. <3 I'm also getting more into Kapibara-san, and Kutusita Nyanko.
How many penpals/swap partners are you looking for? Almost all of my old penpals have slowly stopped writing for various reasons (marriage, babies, moving, school, jobs), so right now I think I only have one really active penpal. I think I could probably find time in my schedule for, uh, lots.
What ages do you prefer? I don't think I really have a preference? I have friends who are still in high school and college, and their drama and exploits still amuse the hell out of me, and I have friends in their 40s with real grown-up people jobs, so I think I am down with pretty much any age.
Anything Else? I think pretty much everyone says this, but I'm really looking for some lasting penpals. I am getting kind of bummed writing all these "getting to know you" letters and then just never hearing from people again, or letters dropping off after 6 months or a year. So, please consider this post my "getting to know me" letter. I've responded to lots of these posts before, but this is my first time writing one!
