You are Northern Lights and thier 2003 production
of "War Letters". What an incredible
transformation Northern Lights (OR) (5th 93.45)
has gone through in recent years. With its
Every-Body over-the-top costumes and props
image long departed, Northern Lights has
established itself as one of the premiere
conceptual innovators in our activity. This
year, rather than
incorporating recorded voices, each member was
equipped with a microphone headset, into which
he/she spoke directly to the audience.
Performing on an abstract American flag floor,
the members read from letters to and from
soldiers at war.
Conceptual ideas aside, this engrossing performance
also featured some of the strongest spinning at
championships.
