I had an excellent night last night. Okay, maybe I lie a bit given we drank a bottle of wine followed by a few shots and a couple of cocktails way too fast (think in the space of 2 hours), but it was lovely catching up with two of my girls especially when they're leaving me for an entire year oh so very soon.
Perhaps it's the ghost of a hangover making itself known or the fact that I napped halfway through the day or that I've yet to go for a run, but this crazy lethargy had me pump out this rambling, incoherent piece:
Amy Chua Oh yes, I'm so clever with my titles. It's a ~response~ to the (apparently doctored) article that's set the Asian blogosphere on fire lately. I thought some of you might want to take a looksie.
I'm going for a run to clear my head.
(Srsly, who am I!?)
Also, thank you Asian(-American) blogosphere (I'm quite saddened I've found nothing quite like it here down south, but I guess it's due to the lack of Asian presence Down Under? so that there's not much for witty, cutting commentary?) and I guess Amy Chua, for giving me possible inspiration for my writing project. Their combined forces has made me think that my premise should be to open the diversity of Asian representation, although I'm not quite sure how to go about this yet...
