het!chenlay was so cute. they're so fluffy and cute with each other irl so they're perfect for dumb-teens-in-love/first love au's... awkward make out sessions and hand holding and cute dates where they need to get driven to the movies by jongdae's older brother minseok. /throws up from the cute

unf to both layhans. the first one reminded me of when harry met sally: best friends in love at a new year's party. i'd love a prequel that culimates or elaborates on this line: She can feel her mood unintentionally get gloomier as she watches them, hating herself for the simple fact that last week, Yixing realised she is love with her best friend. And that realisation has both messed everything up, and kept it all the same, and she hates it.

and the college fuckbuddies one ahhhhhhhh. i remember reading the original a while ago but i never commented, even though i really loved it. i just love layhan's comfortable dynamics but always with an undercurrent of emotional depth that both of them are terrible at expressing because they're dumb boys

yes chenlay are very dumb and squishy so a big YES to hand-holding and first dates (y) sounds like you need to write that ;)

i've actually never watched that o-o though i just looked it up and WOW unintentional mirroring.
maybe i did start writing something like that and it will need major revision before public reveal tbh i'd rather write a fluffy sequel where they just keep staring at each other and shyly smile when their eyes catch, and then chen tells them he wants to barf whenever he looks at them... nuuu stop putting plot bunnies in my head i have exams ;~;
