It took them over half a year but upper management (the people who never leave their offices except to look like they are doing something) figured out I was going against company policy. I didn't care to wear khaki pants and there for didn't. Not some big deal just I like the feel of my jeans better and I can run better in them so that means less ( Read more... )

Personal responsibility is to be applied universally.

Basically, you are responsible for what you do. That's what everyone keeps saying. You think you are already. But, as Kimmi just said, you really aren't until you can look out of yourself and see the others around you.

It's trite as hell but still apropos, "do to others like you want them doing to you." Yes the boss didn't want to work overtime, she's on salary and it wrecks her life. Put yourself in her place; you've got this guy who keeps going into things he knows better than doing to the point that YOUR boss calls you in and bitches you out for his stuff. You don't like getting jumped on and it's totally unfair that you are getting the shitstorm. And this isn't the first one.

Guy, just start looking at EVERYONE, one at a time, asking yourself what this person would want if you were in their place. Then just do what you know is right.

If Kimmi and Tony didn't love you, they would have written you off way back, and you are, like it or not, one of my kids and I have the same sort of "mommy worry" that all my kids, adopted or not, get. I've had kids hanging out with me from Silver's friends (Sunshine, Nikki, etc) through Little Mike, up to Kimmi with you and Sarah, Little Llama, Linda, and the rest. I have only written off one, he ended up in prison over his kids.

Do me a favor, just get your stuff straight. If necessary, I know Kimmi would make you a list of what you had to do to get on the boss' good side and stay there.

Hugs
