library suck: please don't touch our old books :(

I work in the Archives & Special Collections part of my university library, which is a pretty badass job most of the time. (I mean, come on! Getting paid to look at old books and stuff?)

It's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen *___* We have so much cool shit in our library-like originals of Shakespeare's first four folios (1623-1640-something, I believe.)

I love libraries as well ;; I used to go to the library at home literally every day, sometimes twice (since it was only a 10-minute walk from my house).

It's glorious. This one has woodcut prints and hand-written notes in the margins and the whole shebang. I only wish I could read Italian so I could properly experience its glory!

Oh right. Because our students steal anything that isn't nailed down. And some things that might as well be. :\
