Every diabetic I know carries their own sugar stuff just in case after all , the HUGE tube they come in is so inconvenient to carry.

When I was working in a cafe one of my regulars was a diabetic, and he made special allowance in his dietary intake so he could have a coffee with a shot of flavoured syrup in it. Sensible diabetics (and anyone else with restrictive dietary needs) plan ahead.
