(no subject)
This is the first time a customer has made me cry because of something they say, and it's probably due to the circumstances because other wise I would have probably just shrugged it off.
I recently had a car accident, and my boyfriend has been having to pick me up/drop me off at work. Well my co-worker asked me if I wanted her to drop by to give me a ride home, and during our conversation a customer approached us without either one of us noticing.
Me: Oh no it's fine, my boyfriend is picking me up.
Her: Well is a good thing that you guys moved together then right?
Me: I know! I would have just stuttered after the accident if he hadn't bee-
Customer: God is punishing you!
Me and co-worker: *blinks and look over*
Customer: God is punishing you for not following his rules, you shouldn't be living with your boyfriend if you're not married! You're nothing but a slut that doesn't believe in the saintity of marriage.
Then she just left her basket of stuff on the floor and walked off while I had to go to the back to compose myself. What gives a customer or any person for that matter to say something like that? Some people I just don't understand.
