We have begun our new PeopleSoft program which has infuriated our students.
We got a bomb threat today.
I've still got two hours to go on my shift and I've talked to 132 students.
How was your day?

Well, the past month and half have been insane in my department (Financial Aid-imagine the horror! and I work in the call center! More horror!). I get insulted and screamed all the time, sometimes every hour. PeopleSoft/Suck has really just screwed up our student's accounts because apparently PS doesn't have a financial aid part in their system-so we have had to manually build it. Which has naturally created glitches.
Thirteen people have had to create and work on a whole new system in a very short amount of time-so we're basically fucked and now working nights and weekends to get out financial aid. So we get high call volume all the damn time-which is why I'm now at 162 calls. Keep in mind that during this change the max calls I've taken is 191. It's insane and I have indeed cried-it's just unbelievable stressful and stupid and nobody's fault on our end. So I'm not surprised that with students so pissed, we got a bomb threat. I'm just not.
For some giggles because the stupid burns, especially the college level stupid....
I got in argument today with a woman who wanted to change our emergency loan program forms because she felt that she was such a good student that it was crazy for her to put down references in case she refused to pay back the loan. She essentially wanted part of the form waived or changed for all students. What a heroine.
Also, the best security question answer ever.

Her: My mom.
