He does notice Cain being carried, though, and looks up from the rubble at him and the man carrying him. It wouldn't be difficult to get hurt in this sort of mess...]

Looking over, he tugged slightly on Abel's clothes and pointed.]
Abel... I know him, he's a friend of mine. We can't... leave him alone.

well, he isn't about to disoblige Cain now... and he has no idea where they're going regardless, ceasing his pace and facing toward Iceland. not that it looked like this man had a plan of action, either...]

How'd you get hurt? You shouldn't worry about someone else if you can't even walk.
[There's badly-concealed worry in the chiding tone.]

I'm not hurt, just... bruises. Are you injured?
[It would be stupid to ask if he was okay, who could be okay in all this?]

[He looks away, vaguely embarrassed that he'd been concerned over nothing.]
I'm alright. Where are you going?

[His voice got a little steadier as he spoke. He was still in shock, but it was easier to think of this as just another strategic puzzle... not real, just a simulation, just a test.]
...This... this is my brother, Abel.
[It seemed such a stupid time to be making introductions, there were so many more important things to worry over.]

...It's-- good to meet you. [or something.]

I'm Iceland. I lived over there.[He tilts his head in the direction of some rubble.] Nothing useful left, though.
[He wishes, desperately, for Norway to come back.]

Your friend--?
[The drones were all... was he?]

...If you need help... finding someone, then--
[they could... ah. they could try; but he wanted to get Cain out of this air, first.]

[There's an awkward pause.]
He's still droned. Or he was before this.
[He doesn't want to find Norway droned and dead too.]

He can't imagine knowing that Abel was trapped somewhere under the rubble, and just the idea of it makes his arms tighten around his brother's neck slightly.
But only for a moment. The appearance of a goal gave him a little more clarity, something to focus on outside the shock threatening to overwhelm him. So he's wriggling gently in Abel's arms, not wanting to let go and yet needing to get down.]
We'll help find him.
[The small glance he gave Abel adds: 'We have to'. After all, what if it was one of them buried?]

C-- ain...
[he's sorry, Iceland, he bets your brother is nice and everything-- but he's trying to look out for his own ;(]

...I don't want to find a drone. It's not him.
[All the drones he's seen are dead anyway.]
