Swimming?

Custodes' indoor pool is empty and the usual lanelines have been removed. what with swim season being out, but diving blocks are still set up at the deep end of the pool, by the little rope of flags.  Two diving platforms--one high and one low--are also set up at the deep end, somewhat between the blocks.  Afternoon sunlight slants in through the

*Rolf pads out of the change room in black swim trunks and smiles despite the heat. It'd been a while since he had a nice swim and today's particularly hot and sticky weather called for change. The school was well off enough to have a pool... wasn't it run by a cat? Finally reaching the deep end, he notices Hollis sitting on the opposite side of the pool. Ignoring the mechanic for a brief moment, he takes a few steps back. He draws a deep breath and charges full speed, hurtling himself towards the pool. There's a loud slap when his foot kicks off just as he reaches the edge. In Mid-air Rolf curls his body into a ball.

The splash is phenomenal.*

[glances up in time to see Rolf dive off of the edge of the pool. looks impressed at the size of his splash and, kicking his own legs absently in the water, waits for Rolf to resurface.]

*Resurfaces a few feet away from Hollis, his hair flat against his head. Mopping it back with one hand he waves with the other*

[smiles] Hey. That cannonball was ridiculous. [jokingly:] You do that professionally or something?

*Rolf laughs and waves a hand dismissively*

I bet it's nothing compared to what you can do.

You overestimate me. [grins] I'm too skinny to...well. Do much of anything, really.

[curiously:] So...Can you do anything else? Besides cannonballs, I mean.

[minijustice]

Swim wise? I don't know. I haven't swam in a while.

What do you want to see?

Well, I'm always in awe of a good backflip. [grins] But...that might be because every time I try, I end up in a world of pain.
