And so it begins...
At the end of Christmas Mass, the priest at my aunt's parish had this to say:
"For all of you who are visiting with us today, be sure to come back... He grows up."
The implication being that those who are the C&E Catholics are encouraged to appear on more than just those days. I thought that the priest's comments were well put - a nice request, rather than a guilt-laden demand.
It has had me thinking, though. I am not quite a C&E Catholic - we manage to get to Mass a bit more frequently than that, but certainly not every Sunday (and we won't even talk about Holy Days of Obligation). How important is it for me, as a Catholic, to attend Mass weekly?
