It's official!
Well, that's it: I've passed my PGCE and am now a newly qualified teacher! I am now allowed to write my name as follows:

We were having competitions to see who could get their name to go off the envelope for the certificates!
And the Nick thing is the Nick thing and will always be the Nick thing but at least I seem able to talk to him without feeling self-conscious now.
