The table doesn't bother me, but the uncorrected misspelling in #68 does. So here's the riddle: do you correct the word, or write a fic to the garbled prompt?

Somebody already asked the mods about fixing that a while back and they said it's "supposed to be ambiguous". o.O Which means, I guess, that I can use any interpretation of either "lightning" or "lightening" that makes for a good fic.

(Yes, I will fix the spelling if I wind up doing the prompt as "lightning". Hey, it bugs me too. *g*)

Ambiguous BS, if you don't mind my saying so. That's an ass-covering copout if I ever heard one! If they want it to actually mean 'lightening', then they'd better move it out of proximity to 'thunder' . . . claiming that it's 'ambiguous' is about as convincing as claiming that a prompt of 'crap' might also mean 'scrap'. After all, there's only one letter of difference.

I can cut slack for errors, but not for idiots who try to deal with errors by insisting that they're actually correct, just misunderstood.

As to DbA - I only know you and Clocket there, and I don't really understand the site layout. Can I ask you random questions about things I don't get?

Of course! There's threads available for most things, and there's always the 'off topic' section if you think it really doesn't fit anywhere else. Not that we're that good at staying on topic anyway, we do tend to wander. I like it because it's a small, friendly community that is easy to keep up with and has a lot of writers and classic fans.

And yes, I must admit the 'crossover' aspect is why I hesitate - I don't know if I could manage that many and remain coherent.

I did ask about this; you can cross it with other aspects of the same 'verse as long as the characters/whatnot (you can do places too) haven't met in canon. The Doctor is the Doctor, unfortunately - so "One meets Sarah Jane" doesn't count, although it would be epic. But "Jo and Jamie save the world from one of Primsong's extremely creative alien threats", with or without the assistance of one or more Doctors, totally would count!

(Okay, so I'm not even sure I can manage that many crossovers with the same few characters, and I have about a zillion fandoms to cross them with. But won't it be fun to give it a shot? *big mischievous grin*)
