Meme: Guess the OTP
Okay, I bagged this from
purple_bug , whose LJ I stumbled across when looking for Sapphire & Steel screencaps... no, haven't found any good LOLable ones yet. But I'm really inordinately fond of memes.
There will be another LOL later today - Ducky or Illya, not sure which one to post yet.

I'm not even a 'shipper - well, barely - so I'm bending the definition of "OTP" a bit. Most of these look insanely obvious to me, but we'll see!
There are M/F maybe-ships, M/M friendships, and a couple of character/inanimate object OTPs. Five include either a Richard Dean Anderson character or a David McCallum character; the others are all in pretty well-known fandoms. And it's ridiculously difficult to find fic for almost all of them.
1. He's a foot taller, but she easily intimidates him; small woman, big heart, bigger needles.
2. They dance through time and space together - separated, broken, but never apart.
3. Youth and age, tall and short, fishnets and bow ties, a common goal.
4. Clever, workable hands; controlled, directed power; light rises in his eyes. (Okay, I'll take either of two answers for this one. If you recognize the turn of phrase I stole from Lothi, that's a really big hint.)
5. All that is gold does not glitter; not all those who wander are lost. (Friendship, definitely!)
6. Star Wars versus the Simpsons. "Ya think?" Indeed.
7. In the dusk of eternity meet, alone, the Blue and the Gray. (With apologies to Francis Miles Finch for mangling his poem so thoroughly.)
8. Beauty and the beast, goddess and cowboy, witch and samurai, best of friends.
