Henjo Palace.
"Your Majesty, His Highness, Prince Kibum and Her Highness, Princess Yoona shall be arriving soon."
"Ah, thank you very much." The King motioned for the guard to leave the throne room.
"Well, Dear, I do hope our children will be able to create a bond with the children of Lady Audrey." The queen's voice echoed through the empty room.
The Throne room of Henjo Palace was large, much larger than would be expected, or even necessary. Soon Lady Audrey, a well-known general from the Nation of Suchen would be arriving in Narga. Narga and Suchen were always friendly nations, however they were not allies. The threat of the Eastern Nations had grown larger over the past five years. Both the leaders of Suchen and King Bin knew that creating a stronger bond would be beneficial to both countries. Of course the threat of the Calazon Empire's desire of re-expansion was as strong as ever.
The large doors of the throne room slowly opened, revealing the figures of two young men and two young women.
"Mother, Father, we've arrived!" Called their eldest son and heir to the throne, Prince Kibum.
The people of Narga were anxious for the reign of Kibum, who is more affectionately known as 'Prince Key'.
The four figures moved towards the King and Queen. The sunlight flowing out of the high windows revealed their faces and their bodies.
Beside Prince Key was his personal bodyguard, Jonghyun. A young man not much older than the Prince, himself.
Princess Yoona's eyes shined brightly as she bowed before her beloved parents. Princess Yoona is the oldest child of King Bin and Queen Yeonhi. She was accompanied by her bodyguard as well, Sooyoung, who is of the same age as Jonghyun.
"Ah, My children!" The Queen roze from her seat and headed toward the group.
"Good Morning, Mother." Yoona let out while being embrassed by the woman who birthed her. Things have been busy lately and the children hadn't had a chance to see their parents in at least two days.
"As you may know," The King's deep voice brought everyone's attention to him. "A general from the Suchen forces is on her way to our beloved city of Henjoma. She should be arriving soon, and we have gotten word that she is bringing along her children. They are not much older than you so, we want you to keep them occupied, okay?"
"Yes, Father" Key and Yoona responded in unison.
They all took this time to catch up with one another. Yoona has been receiving letters from her fiance. He's turned out to be quiet the romantic, though a bit cheesy.
The sound of footsteps resounded through the hall and the chatter ceased. Everyone's eyes fell on Eun Woo, Leader of the Palace Guards.
"Your Highness," He began, bowing to the Royal Family. "Lady Audrey of the Nation of Suchen has arrived."
Jonghyun and Sooyoung took their places, stepping off of the platform holding the royal thrones.
Lady Audrey and her two children slowly walked toward the King and Queen and bowed.
"It is nice to see you again, General." The Queen called out with a delightful smile to her guest.
"You as well, Your Highness." The Lady responded. "These are my children, Curt," She held her arm out in the direction of her son."And Lena." Her other arm to her daughter.
"It's great to meet you." the young man said, bowing his head slightly.
"Oh~" The Queen let out. "My my, these two surely do take after you. You dears are very cute."
Curt smiled at this remark, showing genuine pleasure whereas his twin sister lifted a brow in disbelief.
"Oho!" The King chuckled. "It's already quite obvious they have differing personalities, eh?"
"Oh, that is quite right." Audrey giggled a bit before continuing."My son here is rather endearing, is he not? However my daughter is a bit rough around the edges, but no worries, she has a great heart."
Lena's head dropped to hide an eye roll of embarrassment and disbelief. Surely she could not seem so cold in front of royalty.
"Well, Curt and Lena, These are two of our children, Kibum and Yoona. They will be accomadating you throughout your stay here. Please let me know if they happen to show an...unpleasant side of themselves to you." The Queen smiled but her eyes were still. She was truly worried about the behavior of her children.
The children bowed to their elders and left the hall, leaving the adults to do their business. Which, for Yeonhi and Audrey, was gushing over their children. Much to the displeasure of the King and Eun Woo.
Henjoma Botanical Haven.
Outside the palace lies a walled garden know as "the Henjoma Botanical Haven." It's filled with plantlife native to Narga, and has been part of the Royal Palace since the reign of Queen Yeonhi's parents.
"We'll wait out here until our younger brother, Taemin, is through with his studies, and then we'll venture into town." Key said quite firmly as he guided the party to a large white table surrounded by chairs. Weekly Tea Parties happened here each Wednesday at noon between the Royal Family and local nobles.
"Oh, is he much younger than you?" Lena inquired, taking a seat beside her brother.
"Oh no. He's only two years younger." Key answered swiftly.
"I see." Lena showed a polite smile. The twins were obviously a bit uneast. This was, after all, their first contact with actual royalty.
"How old are you two?" Yoona took the reigns of the withered conversation.
"We're nineteen." Curt answered.
"Oh, so you are actually older than us."Yoona replied.
"Oh?" Lena was surprised. They all looked very mature. She figured being a royal included lots of pampering, but perhaps they actually had much to do and much to go through.
"Yes, I am eighteen, Key is seventeen and Taemin is fifteen."
"And your guards?" Curt nodded his head at Sooyoung who stood valiantly over Yoona.
"Ah!" Yoona let out a giggle."I apologize." the apology seemed more for Sooyoung and Jonghyun.
The prince grabbed his guard's arm affectionately. "This here is Jonghyun, he's nineteen. That's Sooyoung, she's nineteen as well. Our brother's bodyguard is twenty and her name is Taeyeon."
The twins nodded. There was a bit of silence. Jonghyun had brought up something he meant to ask Key earlier, something about a local shopkeeper. One of the garden's caretakers meandered through the clearing, fumbling with a large bag of fertilizer causing Yoona and Sooyoung to giggle together when he dropped it completely.
"You know, my sister and I are grow pretty fond of the rotating guards ordered to protect us when we go on journies,I'm sure the relationship would be much stronger with a personal bodyguard." Curt stated, noticing the strong state of comfort between them.
"Yeah, we've grown pretty attached." Sooyoung answered
"Even though they can be quite hard to deal with." Jonghyun added, smiling fiercely as Key leered at him.
"Yes, they are major pains." Sooyoung scoffed.
Over the next hour or so, the teens grew more acquainted and more comfortable with each other. They discussed the state of their countries; The trial and tribulations of being children of prominent political figures; things they like to do in their free time; and the three years that Jonghyun and Sooyoung had been employed as bodyguards.
"Taemin should be finished by no-" Key started.
"Prince Key~Princess Yoona~!" A voice called out from the entrance."I've finally managed to get some time to find you!"
Hmm...should I post this in a fic com? thoughts PLEASE!!
