St.Binah - Choral Castle (St.Binah -> Fubras River -> Kaitzur -> Kaitzur Naval Port -> Choral Castle)
The party is forced to sneak into St.Binah by way of an Engeve cart, but they discover that Anise isn’t there. However, they do find a letter from her that
says that she’s left for Kaitzur.
As actually getting to Kaitzur easily would be well, too easy, the bridge is conveniently destroyed by the currents at this point so the party makes their
way through the Fubras River instead. Arietta (One of the Six God-Generals) tries to kill them at this point but a chance earthquake (No, really. Just what
is up with all of these?) and the subsequent release of miasma knocks her unconscious, prompting Jade to try to kill her after they make their way free of
the miasma thanks to Tear’s fonic hymns. Luke protests this act but Jade only decides against killing Arietta due to Ion’s plea, so they make their way to
Kaitzur.
Our party manages to catch up with Anise at this point since Anise can’t cross the border due to not having a passport. Asch (Another of the God-Generals)
attacks at this point but he suddenly runs away after Van appears (Luke’s teacher, also commander of the Six God-Generals). Following this (With an aside of
Tear wanting to kill Van still), Van invites the party to have a chat at the inn and explain the situation. From here, we learn that there’s a schism within
the Order of Lorelei and that the six God-Generals are currently following the orders of Grand Maestro Mohs. There’s some protest by Tear that this isn’t
true but the only important thing here is that they get the necessary passports to cross the border.
Unfortunately, karma’s a bitch sometimes and they arrive at the port only to discover that the soldiers there have been killed by Arietta’s monsters. To
further worsen matters, she kidnaps the maintenance chief and tells Luke and Ion to meet her at Choral Castle. Van is also there at that point and he
suggests that they go back to Kaitzur while they fix things, but they end up going to Choral Castle instead as Ion wants to go, though Luke also admits that
he feels he may remember something if he returns to the same place where he was brought to ten years ago. Jade also doesn’t disapprove of going there, saying
that he doesn’t mind either decision.
Luke doesn’t end up remembering anything from the trip (They do learn that Guy has a terrible past, find a fon disc and have a fight against Arietta though),
but he does observe Jade acting oddly after they discover an machine within the castle’s depths. When asked about this, Jade says that it’s nothing and that
he’ll only reveal what he thinks when he confirms what’s going on.
Kaitzur Naval Port - Akzeriuth (Kaitzur Naval Port -> Chesedonia -> Baticul -> Abandoned Factory -> Oasis -> Zao Ruins -> Chesedonia -> Deo Pass ->
Akzeriuth)
The party finally gets to leave for Baticul following the events listed above and they stop by at Chesedonia in order to change ships before leaving for
Baticul. While on this first ship, Jade asks Luke a cryptic question which deeply foreshadows the tragedy that would happen afterwards, but that’s neither
there nor here right now. The party heads for the Kimlascan Consulate where Jade asks about the status of the ship, and they decide to get the fon disc from
before analyzed while waiting.
They return to the ferry soon after getting the results and they’re attacked by Sync (Who incidentally fails to get the fon disc back but marks Guy with a
curse slot; this becomes important later). When they’re on board, Jade reads the data and remarks that the data looks like isofon research on Lorelei’s fonon
frequency, adding later that Lorelei’s existence is purely hypothetical at this point of time. Jade and Guy both fall silent when Anise mentions an old study
of isofons called fomicry (Essentially what we know of as cloning in our world, but with some MAJOR differences). The ship gets attacked soon after this and
the fon disc gets stolen by a robot belonging to Dist, the orchestrator behind the attack (And yes, yet another God-General. Do they never learn?) Anyway,
Dist tries to get the fon disc, Jade surrenders it, Dist thinks he’s succeeded and Jade breaks out the jerkass act by informing him that he’s already
memorized the contents. They arrive at Baticul soon after.
Here, the general who greets them is surprised to see Jade before remarking that if he’s here, things must be serious. Luke insists that he help to escort
Ion to the king, which is fortuitous as they encounter Mohs trying to spread lies. When they’re done and the letter is sent, all of the party members split
ways, with Jade leaving to go back to the castle.
They all meet each other again the next day as a dire situation has cropped up. Akzeriuth, a mining town that has long been a point of contention between
Kimlasca and Malkuth is in danger due to being enveloped in miasma and Malkuth has petitioned Kimlasca for help as the miasma is blocking their path towards
Akzeriuth. Apparently too, Luke has been said to save the city and so the party agrees to help out, each with their own reasons-
But saving the world is never really easy, and that’s why our merry ragtag band is forced to take a detour to Akzeriuth instead, going by an abandoned
factory. We also learn that Ion has been taken away during this time which is why the party makes yet another detour, this time to the Zao Ruins.
Once Ion is rescued, they make their way to Chesedonia again, where Luke gets a headache and Jade comments that it likely had something to do with what Dist
did to him back at Choral Castle, along with making the ominous remark that Luke should be the first to hear about any conclusions he comes up with from
here. Things go pretty smoothly from there until the Deo Pass, where they encounter Legretta who is well- yet another God-General. The real difference
between this particular God-General encounter and the rest is that an off-hand remark about Luke being a reject sets Jade off in a rage, yelling that it was
them who had resurrected the forbidden technology of fomicry and lashing out at everyone who speaks to him at that point. He does calm down quickly though
and they reach Akzeriuth at last.
Akzeriuth -> Yulia City -> Belkend
Once at Akzeriuth, the party wastes no time in trying to assess the situation. They decide to head into the mines soon after learning that the miasma is
worse in the mines and that people are trapped in there, unaware of what would happen soon after. Tear leaves in order to investigate the Seventh Fonstone
she was charged to find, leaving the rest of the party to go deeper into the mines. Jade becomes concerned when he doesn’t see the vanguard anywhere and then
he leaves to head up when Asch comes to intercept the party, telling them not to come any closer. This in turn allows Luke to head deeper in with Van and
Ion, thinking that he’s going to neutralize the miasma and save Akzeriuth as is his destiny...
Meanwhile, Jade meets up with Tear during this time frame, where she tells Jade that vanguard has been killed by the same Oracle soldiers that captured the
Tartarus and that they had intended to kidnap her in order to protect her from what Van is about to do. At this point, Asch comes running after them, telling
them to do something about Luke or else they’re going to die- But they’re too late to do anything as Luke has used his power to unknowingly destroy the
support pillar of Akzeriuth, thus dooming it and all of its citizens. Van escapes with the help of Arietta’s animals and takes Asch with him and the party
falls along with Akzeriuth into the Qliphoth (Roughly, the abyss.) They are able to survive thanks to the Tartarus falling in as well and Tear directs them
to Yulia City, which Jade considers a curiosity.
Tear explains the history of the world as they travel towards Yulia City; apparently, people used to live down here at the Qliphoth but were forced to escape
above ground due to the miasma enveloping the land, with the Outer Lands supported by pillars called the Sephiroth. When Luke hears about this and how Van
has deceived him, he throws a major tantrum which actually causes Jade to leave, saying that he’ll just get irritated by ridiculous ranting if he stays.
Though nothing at all like his previous outburst over fomicry being mentioned, this moment is notable in that it’s Guy who says that they have no time to
waste and not Jade, indicating that he has a deeper reason for being angry than he lets on. They meet up with Asch here and return to the Outer Lands in hope
of discovering his other plans, with Jade mentioning that he intends to confirm something and that cooperating with Asch should help him to find it. Asch
mentions that Van often visits the Fon Laboratory 1 in Belkend often, so they visit there first.
The party (Asch, Guy, Jade, Anise and Natalia) learn something shocking when they arrive there and encounter a researcher named Spinoza. Asch calls the
researcher a traitor and explains that Spinoza helped in his kidnapping, to which Jade exclaims that he must be the one that broke the ban of fomicry.
Shortly after this, the party (Minus Jade, naturally) discover that Jade is actually the one who founded the technology of fomicry! However, he pays no
attention to Spinoza, remarking that he's not interested in licking another's wounds and that he's not about to help someone just because he did the same
thing. After this Spinoza says that he thought he was only helping with something called a preservation project though he declines to comment further on it.
The party hears about the researchers in the laboratory mentioning a lack of fonimin, after which Asch says that he intends to head to Ortion Cavern. They
head there since it contains fonimin and because Jade suspects Dist would be conducting fomicry experiments there, minus Guy as he decides to go back to
Luke. They discover that a fomicry research facility in the cavern that's been abandoned, but the calculation device is still running. Asch investigates it
and reacts badly to the data, prompting Jade to look at it and get shocked upon seeing that the calculated size is more than a tenth of Auldrant. They also
find a cheagle and its replica there, and they learn that fomicry can sometimes cause the original to weaken after it's been replicated. At this point, Jade
says that they have no need to worry about Asch as he's still fine after seven years and Asch sends them all back to the mainland since he can finish the
rest of the work by himself. An earthquake happens as an aftereffect of the Akzeriuth Sephiroth's destruction, prompting a discussion that lets the party
learn that Van can manipulate the Yulian seals protecting the Sephiroth. (This also means that St.Binah is in danger of falling.)
Jade is reunited with Luke, Tear and Guy after Luke and Tear leave Yulia City via the Yulia Road, but he brushes Luke aside during this time as Ion and
Natalia have been captured and they need to get to Daath to rescue them.
...and now, the rest of it in point form because I don't think you really want to see how much more history am I going to cram in here that only involves
Jade in some form:
Daath - St.Binah (Again) (Daath -> Keterburg Bay -> Keterburg -> Rotelro Bridge -> Theor Forest -> Grand Chokmah -> St. Binah)
- They rescue Ion and Natalia at Daath, also hearing that Mohs plans to start a war since the Score predicted one. Notably, Jade is still mean towards Luke
at this point and we learn that Jade was trying to repair the Tartarus when Ion and Natalia were captured.
- The party decides to head for the Grand Chokmah after that, but they're unable to approach it by sea as the city turns to a fortress during wartime. The
party heads towards Rotelro Bridge instead, intending to dock there. They're stopped by engine damage to the Tartarus and are subsequently forced to dock at
Keterburg, the nearest city. Jade and the party goes to explain their situation to Nephry, governor of the city, who turns out to be Jade's sister.
- Nephry asks Luke to come back alone later, and he learns the real reason behind fomicry. Unfortunately for him, Jade finds this out anyway and he reveals
that he'll carry that regret forever and telling him that he must not reveal this to anyone. They leave for Grand Chokmah the next day and Jade leaves them
at Theor Forest in order to update the Emperor about the situation and gain entry for the rest of the party.
- The party (Minus Jade) are forced to make their way through the forest following an attack on the soldiers led by the oracle Knights, Sync and Largo. Luke
and Tear are alone when they meet Jade again at Grand Chokmah and he says that there's tension in the air.
- During the meeting with Peony (With an aside about the party dragging Jade all over the place and Jade remarking that Peony really shouldn't confuse the
guests, they learn that the council is reluctant to send soldiers to save st.Binah due to threat of attack from Kimlasca. Jade suggests that party evacuate
the city instead, so they go to get Guy, who was at the inn with Ion and Anise as the curse slot on him had to be removed. It's also here that the group
learns about Guy's true identity due to Jade's observation of his fighting style- he's actually Gailardia Galan Gardios, a survivor of Hod who had initially
intended to get revenge of Luke, hence why the curse slot worked on him.
- They manage to get to the city in time but some of the people are still trapped there. Tear mentions however that it'll take the city some time to fall. TO BE CONTINUED.
