It’s work but doesn’t feel like it. Tonight, that is. Work tonight feels like an extension of the daytime. All the people I work with a daily morning/afternoon basis are sticking around for the show tonight since a few of the current staff are playing in their bands here at the Epicentre. It should be really interesting. I’m actually pretty eager to see what my fellow coworkers have to offer musically. I already told David that I’m going to stand by in the sidelines watching him and his performance with my judgmental eye and preconceived ideas of what his band is about. If you can’t already tell, I’m attempting to make them feel very nervous. Except for one. She doesn’t deserve me to make her feel nervous since I undoubtedly made her go through a variety of emotions on a regular basis in the past.
Yesterday was a really good day. It wasn’t anything too exciting but it was near perfect. I woke up early and went for my typical run at the lake. Came home and watched The Bold and the Beautiful. Got ready and went to work by 11:00. Spent a couple of hours there, had lunch with Jim, then I came home and watched The Young and the Restless (I had to tape it since I was at work). After my show ended, I got in my board shorts, picked up some sunscreen at Target, then went to La Jolla shores to relax, read, and listen to music. Came home at about 6:30, talked to my dad, took a shower, went to UTC to return something, then I met up with the beautiful Allan and Katie for dinner at P.F. Chang’s. After a delightful meal, I came home and watched the two hour season final of CSI with my mom (again, I had to tape it because I was dinner). See, there was nothing too exciting going on in my day but there wasn’t a single negative thing about it, which in turn, made it awesome.
Today has been a long day at work. I had a three hour meeting this morning that started at 9:00. Then two other lengthy meetings at 1:00. I barely had time to escape and rest a little before I had to be back.
I deposited my tax return today. It was very magnanimous amount. It was over a thousand dollars. It’s nice having an extra thousand dollars in your checking account right BEFORE Vegas.
Oh man, if only life could stage this kind for more than just a couple of days…
