You knew it was coming. You knew that I’d have to talk about my birthday sooner or later. If you wanna check out pictures, I suggest you look at my friend Erin’s livejournal. She’s uploaded some pretty awesome photos.
Well on Friday, Jimmy made me a delicious lemon cake and we ate it after the staff meeting. They all courageously sang me “Happy Birthday” and I think we all forget about any animosity anyone might have against anyone else for that one brief minute.
Saturday was fucking awesome! My parents threw a huge party at my house and the whole family came over… the WHOLE family. We had carne asada, rice, beans, the full Mexican thing basically. My dad made a toast and we all shared a couple of shots. He got me a bottle of Dom Perignon to take to Vegas among other things. My mom outdid herself again and everyone did just as I had expected as far as gifts go. I left my house around the eight o’clock hour and then I met up with Steph and Jordan at his place. I opened my gift from her and she got me this amazing digital camera. It was actually pretty ironic because before I got to Jordan’s I had to go to her house to pick up her camera to take pictures at the party. And the day I gave her the bikini for her birthday, she had told Jordan how bummed she was that she didn’t buy it when her and I were up in Irvine the last time. So after the gift and some fun, we headed over to Dan’s. Jordan immediately made me a drink that was meant to fuck me over within the hour. It did and after learning that it had more alcohol than anything else I was pretty bummed cause I knew it was only a matter of time before I puked. If my memory serves me correctly, a huge thanks go out to Allan, Katie, Stephanie, Jordan, Erin Berg, Justin, Vince, Ann, Kim, David, Chris, Erin (Chris’s girl), Doreen, Aislinn, Brad, Jeff, Dayna, Morgan, Natasha, Jason, and anybody else I might’ve forgotten for coming out. I loved seeing every single one of you. We took shots at midnight to commemorate my actual birthday. And just to make sure everyone is clear on this: I did not throw up. I was outside getting fresh leaning over the rail thinking I was going to be sick, but never did. I held it in. There was not going to be a reoccurrence of last year. I ended up crashing at Dan’s after everyone took off cause there was no way I could get in a moving car and feel alright about it (health wise). The next day Dan’s wonderful, amazingly nice, and down to earth, girlfriend drove me to get my car in PB. She’s pretty sweet, I’m glad I liked her cause if I hadn’t then Vegas would’ve been a drag... just kidding! :) She’s really awesome. I can’t believe my friends have been lucky enough to find these awesome girlfriends. Allan and Dan have seemed to strike it rich those bastards. And a huge thank you to Dan for hosting this shin dig a second year in a row. You didn’t have to and I understand how your health hasn’t been the best it could be recently but your selflessness was demonstrated once again. Thank you buddy, I owe you one.
Last night some friends and I did dinner at Fleming’s. Of course I had the petite filet mignon well done with the Fleming’s potatoes and asparagus with hollandaise. Stephanie got the seafood tower that I had last time and it was awesome as always. We started with an appetizer of course and closed the meal with a free desert. The bill was pretty high but we all didn’t have to pay much at all cause I had a simon gift card with a generous amount in it.
Again, thank you to everyone that made this birthday one of the best and most memorable. This weekend will probably never be forgotten. I love you all. I do. Wow, I just got all sappy on livejournal. Whatever… rightfully so, right? I do have the best group of friends anyone could’ve ever asked for. Thank you everyone.
