w00t - also, some musics!
We've managed to recover all my MP3s (or at least, nearly all - there are a handful of mystery files that could possibly be MP3s that got corrupted, or might be other, unidentified stuff) and at the same time I cleared a bunch of crapola off my HD and freed up quite a bit of space. So, phew. Thank God my copy of 'Puttin' on the Ritz' by Taco wasn't obliterated (/sarcasm).
I still mourn the nearly-a-week's worth of folk and celtic music that got lost when my computer died a couple of years ago, so finding these ~1500 files, though not quite as awesome, was still a big relief.
When my music files disappeared, I realized that all I had left were the files stored in other random places, among which was the directory for my Diablotin soundtrack, with 30 MP3s. I had burned them to CD for elanya back when I compiled it, but I don't think I ever actually did one for myself, so I was glad they hadn't disappeared into the ether. And then I figured I'd upload them for anyone who might be interested to download and make their own soundtracks :) They fit nicely on two CDs, with half the tracks on each. WARNING: I am not claiming all of these songs are actually good (though many are) - just that they're suitable, IMHO ;)
