Oh, golly. That made me cry. I always loved that passage (the "O cherubim" is a real catcher-in-the-throat if you know the context).
Sadness. Though she was obviously a good age and has left an amazing legacy of work.

It makes me cry too. I keep thinking I should lj-cut it because every time I look at my friends page now, I tear up. But I don't think I will - I want people to actually read it.

Oh no! Oh no!
I've always loved that song. You matter, you are, be! has got to be one of the most profound and direct evocations I've ever found.
(And now I'm all teary and choked up.)
Thank you indeed, Madeleine.

It is, isn't it? I think we could all use a dose of "you matter, you are, be!" in our lives.

Oh, dear.
I'm glad I first heard the news from you. This is a fitting tribute.

I hope so. I heard the news myself in a very off-hand way, and I wanted to make something a bit more suitable for others who might not have heard yet.

Thank you--I hope you won't mind a link from a total stranger. But this is so perfect.

Total strangers are more than welcome, especially if they love Madeleine L'Engle!
