Drive by update
I adjusted the timeline because I thought we could all use more time.
I know some of us have other deadlines to make and it just seems like the right thing to leave you more time to finish other projects.
The revised timeline is:
Sept 1st - Nov 1st: sign-ups.
Sept 1st - 30th: prompts submission.
Oct 1st: Prompt claiming opens.
Dec 15th: Stories and arts are due.
Dec 18th: posting begins.
We had some fantastic prompts. Go have a look for yourself.
You have a few more days to leave your prompts. You do not have to participate or be a member of the comm to leave prompts.
So far, we had quite a few MCR and PATD prompts and one FOB (and one Amanda Palmer/Neil Gaiman :D).
Bandom is not just these bands. Leave a prompt for that TBS/AAR curtain fic you always wanted to read, for a fic where The Cab adopt kittens and have to buy kittie litter at Petsmart, Jimmy Urine and Chantal expecting their first child, Alex Suarez cooking for Gabe, Bert and Quinn shopping for kitchenware, Mikey and Pete taking Bandit and Bronx to Chuck-E-Cheese...
It can be anything.
I will also be very lenient to what constitutes bandom. If you think the world needs a fic about Tom Delonge/Mark Hoppus going to Blockbuster to rent B-movies, then go for it.
We didn't have many sign-ups so far but I'm sure things will pick up as we approach the closing date.
Don't hesitate to pimp the community to your friends.
