He turned on the radio, in hopes of a distraction. Immediately, the deejay's voice boomed out, "You're listening to the biggest block of uninterrupted music on the radio. You just heard Pink Floyd's 'I Wish You Were Here,' 'It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday' by Boyz II Men, and 'Heartbreak Hotel' by the King himself, Elvis Presley. And now, here's another blast from the past--Dr. Hook and the Medicine Show, with 'Carry Me, Carrie.'"

He couldn't see the overpass support through his tears. But he knew what he was steering towards.
A man had his ear next to the police scanner. "Gene! Turn it down!" he yelled.
Gene reached for the station's master control panel, and reduced the volume for the studio speakers. "What is it, Bob?"
A few words squawked through the radio..."accident on I-35"..."dead on impact"..."possibly intentional."
"All right!" Bob yelled as he held out his hand for a high-five. "We got another one!"
