Some things are just not neccessary

Sometimes I wonder what in the world is Malaysia thinking. While I can understand the sentiments these elders have, I don't see how defying a person to have an event here is completely going to solve a problem they have with the subject in question. You have a problem, you solve it then. With a solution. Takkan you go banning every single thing you have a problem with. It gives me the picture of some big boss sitting in the office with a "DENIED" stamp and endorsing everything "wrong" for the public.

Malaysian Islamic party wants ban on 'sexy' Rihanna concert: report

The concert's sponsor told the daily that Rihanna has agreed to follow local regulations for her performance but did not give details.

You would think that would be enough.

Having just said all that, I ain't mad because first of all, I'm not even going for the concert. LOL. But to me, it just seems like they have a million and one reasons to ban something. "Inappropriate dressing", "inappropriate language", "contributing to the moneyflow of America", and etc.

Here's to hoping I won't get detained under ISA,
レイラ。

And then there's still the issue of using the word "Allah" in the Catholic community. Seriously, "Allah" just translates to "God", it's not specifically meant only for the Islam religion.

Apart from all that, Malaysia has really good food. Truly Asia. =D

(I wonder if they'll apply to ban Jason Mraz too...)

malaysia: truly asia, complains and complaints
