Isn't it amazing how time passes by incredibly fast, even though some time ago, during that long period, you had hardships and times when you felt like giving it all up. They say, time flies when you're having fun. Quite true. I've had good and bad moments this year, as would anyone else. And every moment that passes by, I am different though the core within me remains the same. Some say I've changed since entering college, and I partially agree. I'm different than I once was in kindergarten, Sri Cempaka, Marymount Convent, Sri Aman and now Taylors. Each stage I went, I met different people and encountered different chapters of my life that made me who I am today. It's the same for everyone, I suppose. Things are just different.
About five years ago, I was immensely shy when I moved back to Malaysia and into Sri Aman. My shyness mistaken for bossiness. I had no friends...the friends I made were not from my class. And the girl I sat next to practically wanted to punch me each time I spoke in English and could not fully comprehend her Malay. The one friend I really appreciate since my entering of Sri Aman is Val, my greatest friend, petsister...and unfortunately (sadly), my employer. (-> shared meaning)
Val had just called, which "inspired" me to write this entry.
See, Val, an entire blog post dedicated to you! So you really should pay me for my five years of labour for you. XD
It is almost a fact that Val is the biggest reason why I'm so today. Yes, I blame you, if you insist on being so terasa.
I'm sarcastic now just coz I had to learn to retort all her sarcasm I withstood from sitting next to her.
I'm hyper now...just coz there's never a moment I wouldn't laugh when I'm with her.
I'm...well, mostly the sarcasm part, really.
But I did become braver just hanging out with her. Just coz she's brave and we did many weird things together, along with some other accomplices. This would include us walking around OU with a red indian hat with those feathers sticking up and for you that face joke mask thing. How many times had we walked in to WH and got this stare from the people working there, man.
I'm reminiscing...
Two whole years of sitting with you and 3 years being in the same class with you. It was truly a long period. Hahaha. We had a lot of wonderful moments...like the times we...
~ would cause an entire road block, be it in the hallway or the stairs, for our class just coz "our leg SUDDENLY pain lar!" Hahaha.
~ had our first (and only, and fake) argument that everyone believed and I even threw water at you (accidentally tho) which made us laugh, almost blowing off the plan.
~had a real...dislike and I threw your bag over a table to your side.
~or how our spaghetti tasted like rubber underneath our delicious but small pile of meat sauce.
~so pitifully had to take turns busting our credit/phone bill just to call each other to talk...and actually TIME the minutes
~loved Pizza Ferroro(??) Roche...and that disgusting canteen man
~or how I wrote letters to you ALLLL the way in NZ but sadly you couldn't reply by mail.
~and I even stuck Post-Its in your room in hidden spots whenever you left the room (which sadly you found rather soon)
~we filmed each other with our cell phones...well, i filmed the bowl of mangoes actually...
~the times we talked outside your class in Form 3 and then I had to run away/sneak away at the sight of Pn Chua.
~and that ugly cartoony cat I sketched from your guidance while yours looked so pretty
~and of course ALL our lil funny skits...esp. our L-O-V-E one which was completely impromptu where I forgot our "anniversary" (which reminds me, why do i always have to play the guy)
~kept acting as old people.
~we tried out random clothes in jusco, hogging up the dressing rooms
There are simply too many to list down. It can go on forever.
Just so you know, I appreciate our friendship alot.
Thanks for always being there for me, Val! :)
And for old time's sake, your favourite poem that I wrote:
"I'm so bored,
I wanna cut the cord,
but it's something I can't afford..."
Hahahaha, my poetical skills then were really terrible then, huh? Hahahaha. We'll keep this friendship for sure, kay? NZ and Adelaide...it'll be near but yet so far. =)
And yes, Chel, you're my bestie too...dun go being all terasa as well...
(I put it in teal too, just for you. XD)
