I should probably be continuing my Jap workbook at the moment but instead here I am, blogging about fandom. But oh well and who cares! :D
So recently, like maybe 3 days ago, I finally finished watching
Maou, the Jap version starring
Arashi's Ohno Satoshi and super-cool
Ikuta Toma. Yes, I know the drama finished airing like a year ago but I think I must have tried watching it twice, from the beginning. And twice it just faded away, the desire to watch it. Like my problem with
Last Friends. ><
I heard it's good. I trust it's good because Toma's in it. It's not exactly biasness there. Take for example
Honey & Clover the drama, for an adaptation it wasn't exactly good IMO as someone who has watched the anime and loved it. But while I think the drama was actually not that bad, there were some not so good comments about it from fans of the original version. However, one thing that everyone agreed on was Toma doing a good job in it.
Maa, biasness aside, I do think it was a GREAT drama. Honestly, it was quite a genius work and Ohno was very good at his role. It was neither a surprise nor...well, not a surprise since I didn't really follow
Arashi.
And my was the ending super sad. My heart totally ached at the ending. It was a very deep and intense drama. It was no wonder they got tons of awards for it. They totally deserved it. Though how come Toma didn't get one for that! T_T
But I know why I have trouble trying to finish dramas like these - they're too deep and depressing. I seemed to have a tendency to not want to watch or listen to depressing or sad stuff.
So, instead of trying to finish watching Last Friends, I've moved on to
Voice! I need to catch up on mah Toma dramas!
And I know I've been going on and on bout Toma these days but I think I've been away from fandom for far too long. Fandom is my guilty pleasure. It's happy-fy-ing and relaxing! :D
And watching Arashi on Utaban is hilarious.
Now, for a slight bit of picspam that was actually just meant for Ohno and Toma in Maou but somehow took a different direction.
First off, I can't seem to take clear screencaps. They get all so fuzzy-ish so I had to use this blur/glow-ish effect to make it look 'nice'.
And of course, what most uni students learn is the necessity for giving credits to sources. :)
I've totally taken a liking to Sho, especially in this episode of an Arashi show. :D
LOL Ohno!
Incidentally, I was a little amused to find one of the dialogues in my Jap textbook to have 大野先生 in it. XD
And so begins my fondness in Arashi. :)
Ja,
レイラ。
Back to work, na~ Everyone, stay healthy and happy. :)
