an afternoon alone...
i think i'm going to take the opportunity of the first afternoon alone at home for a loooooooooooooong time (and the first time in this apartment) to knit outside, take a nap, or watch a jane austen movie... or maybe i'll open the door to my balcony, put in a jane austen, and knit on the couch until i can't keep my eyes open. sounds like a plan.
speaking of the couch and balcony, here's some pictures from the first day i had my new apartment in waukesha (it's twice as big as my old studio!) and here's some of my newly furnished living room area.
and just for the heck of it, here's a picture of me with straight hair! my new hairdresser in waukesha likes to straighten curly hair to make sure the cut is right, which i wholeheartedly endorse, since i don't leave the salon with bozo the clown hair. so today when i got my trim, i also got it straightened for the second time ever. last time, i didn't take a picture before i stupidly dampened the front bit because i was trying to flatten some frizzies in my curly-normative way. not sure if it'll last through tomorrow, but i think i'm going to try.
