Well, the plight of an internet free computer has been halted. I got it back today after a week of bullshit from the IT department and an IRC worm apparently caused by AIM. The worst part of this all is that it took the IT guy that I have in one of my classes 20 minutes to explain to me how to fix it. I fixed it myself and called the IT desk to turn it back on; the bastards then tell me that I have to bring it down to have it scanned for "Official approval." whores. On the bright side, I knew the guy who wrote out my work order so I didn't get charged. The result of their "Official scans": clean except for an IE hijacker that doesn;t affect me anyway (I use Firefox). So, yeah. I hope to post regularly again.
