here's how i percieve some office charachters would deal with this devestating humor drought while the show is preempted for the olympics--
michael: overeat ice cream sandwiches; act out his feelings through improvisation; quell the discontent with his own homemade office episode entitled: "office tomorrow: the people behind the charachters"
jim: vehemently deny that he has any feelings about the office one way or the other or that if he ever liked the show it was a long time ago and he doesn't feel that way anymore
pam: "what? the office isn't on? i didn't even notice."
dwight: he completely supported the 'downsizing' of office episodes during the olympics, in fact, rainn suggested it when he auditioned for the show
angela: spend time with her cats; pray that the ungodly israelis don't win any metals (ok, that's a bit too far. i'm pretty sure angela's not an anti-semite...)
oscar: oh he'll probably just hang out at home. alone. yup...alone.
kevin: more time for his steve miller tribute band, mon.
kelly: oh maybe do something with ryan. but only if he mentions it first. she doesn't want to seem like desperate, you know, and like make him think that she has nothing to do over the three week break. that would be like totally embarassing! yeah so maybe they can like go out to dinner or something. there's this new place down in wilkes-barre that her friend told her about and it's supposed to be totally romantic. yeah it's like italian and...
ryan: study for his macro econ test.

in order to prevent myself from cutting my wrists with the exacto-knife used to build my physics bridge from lack of the office, i have taken to a temporary new obsession: pete fenson: curling god.
i got so unheathily into curling this weekend. on tuesday when i was home sick, all i wanted to watch during commercials of regis&kelly was some fun short track or snowboard halfpipe. but no. all the nbc affiliates were givin' me was freaking biathalon and freaking curling. i tried to watch curling but, like a child, was frustrated by my ignorance of the sport. later in the week, i turned on the usa network again only to find more curling. this time i watched closer and noticed one very sexy sexy man down on his hands and knees, yelling as loudly as he could. this man was mister pete fenson, us mens curling skip.
in the past few days i've tuned in to a number of men's curling matches. only to be dumbfounded by my own nerdiness. i find myself enthralled by the exacting strategy and excited by the skin-tight outfits.
but srsly, i do really love watching curling now. and pete fenson is the greatest hot!nerdork ever.

well it's hour 84 of entertainment weekly watch. there's a HUGE office spread in this week's issue. i got hot just thinking about it. my brother works at the acme so i had him looking for it on sat & sun with no luck. then today, after school i went to superfresh to see if it was in. nope. but i did buy last week's issue cuz leafing through it i spotted an arrested article and a project runway blurb on the same page! can't let that get away.
