stolen from super cool nat. it's interest stories about things that i'm obsessed with. you might find something interesting if you care about the same things as me. and even if you don't care, you will learn something new. and who doesn't love that?!

- amy poehler:
1/2 of willamy, my favorite celebrity couple consisting of actors from two of my favorite shows: arrested development & saturday night live. (amy's husband is will arnett.) since ad is filmed in la and snl in nyc, they call themselves bi-coastal-curious. and that makes me giggle. they have an apartment in tribeca, nyc. whenever i hear tribeca, i think of them!
the writers on snl must love to write for amy cuz she friggin dominates the show. her on update has been crazy. she adds such a different dynamic to the update desk. usually it's very wry, but amy's so silly that it gives it a completely different spin. and also they've never had a pair of lesbian lovers (who happen to be linsay lohan's mommies) at wu. - clay aiken:
oh clay. my major obsession about two years ago. still my fav contestant from idol ever. and i totally picked him out from the first round of voting, when there are 48 contestants. srsly, i fell in love w/ him at the onset, before he became a phenomenon. as a runner up he's sold more albums than any idol winner besides kelly. i am proud to be a card carrying claymate. - desperate housewives:
eh. i watch it. it's a good show. entertaining. funny. i'm not a crazy fan like i am with other shows. although i absolutely cannot get enough of doug savant and felicity huffman. they're my fav male and female charachters and actors and am most interested the scavos' story lines. (i smell spinoff!)
but i absolutley HATE how at every award show dh is classified as a comedy!! they take away nods and votes from real comedies like arrested development and the office. half-hour slap stick shows can't compete with hour long dramadies. this makes me sad.
i can't stand the charachters of susan, julie, zach, or paul. but andrew's gay saga is so hott. love it. - hugh laurie:
hugh laurie is teh sex. his british accent is to die for. i was so increadibly happy that he won the golden globe. (and his speech was hilarious!)
i think it's so funny that he's actually a british commedian who's big break was on a kids in the hall-type show. that means cheeky, cross-dressing humor. now he's this uberamerican macho doctor. what a departure! - jason mraz:
my favorite musician. i've always been a suporter and admirerer of mr.a-z, but never bought his cds until i saw him as the opening act at an alanis morresette concert. i didn't know he was going to be there until i walked into the kimmel center. and i started freaking out.
i knew jmraz was going to be big from the first time i saw his "remedy" video. i've always said that he's a mix between john mayer and jimmy fallon. not a bad combination. - jon stewart:
could things be going any better for this man?!? he's got a hit show, is hosting the oscars this year and was just awarded a soccer award for his playing at william&mary. he claims he was bad, but i doubt that. i don't doubt, however, that they only gave him the award to get publicity for the event.
fun fact: w&m still has an award called the "liebo" that they award to the class clown of the men's soccer team. it was named after jon! his real name is jon liebowitz. lol, i think it's funny that jews change their name when they get into the biz. like they're going to be marginalized b/c showbuisness is NOT run by jews.
slightly less funner fact: js is from jersey! just like me, bitches.
JS '08 <--my slogan last year - npr:
i like npr b/c i can pretend to be a new york intelectual. like a month ago they had stephen colbert on and i freaked out! i listened for like an hour and a half. it was awesome. the npr shows on the weekends are pretty funny, like wait, wait don't tell me. - saturday night live:
what can i say? i'm an snl connoisseur. i know way too much about it. if you give me a cast member, i can pretty much tell you the years they were on. my fav years were prolly '00-'02. really good stuff. my least fav year was def '96. that was a building year. my fav cast members ever are tina fey and jimmy fallon. (one of which is my idol!) even though it's sucked recently, i've only missed one new episode in past two seasons. (impressive, i know) the one i missed? jude law/ashlee simpson. i no rite. - steve carell:
is god. did u hear the angels singing hallejula when he won his golden globe? i did. i've been a steve carell fan since the daily show and have championed his career throughout bruce almighty and anchorman. i am still in shock of how huge he has become.
when he was on the daily show promoting virgin, that was the best interview ever. omg, did anyone see it? it was just one long awkward silence between him and jon. jon fake broke down and cried b/c he missed him so much. then steve hugged him. it was lovely. and then, srsly for a second, they said how when steve was on, the two never talked or were friends. you could feel the (sexual) tension.
fun fact: 40 yr old virgin is based off of a second city skit that steve wrote like 10 years ago.
yet another fun fact: steve met his wife, nancy walls (omg, love her SO MUCH but that's another story), at second city.
fun fact #3: i love and am in awe of second city, can you tell?
not so fun fact #4: the office will end taping early this year b/c steve has to go work on bruce almighty 2. sucks.
fun fact #4: michael is a jim!fangirl. and when michael does something stupid, my dad yells at him seriosly like he's a real person. he always complains about how much of a jerk michael is. it's humorous. - the colbert report:
glorious. although i don't stay up on school nights, i try to catch the reruns at 2:30.
yesterday, there were two amazingly hilarious quotes. during the cold opening: "listen up. cuz i'm only going to say this once. then it'll be rurun four times tomorrow." and the best.quote.ever. "the west wing is basically just john kerry fanfiction."
don't let me fool you, GENNA IS THE #1 FAN. we were each other's witnesses when we signed the colbert nation covenant. ay, comrad!
