Greatest Camp Ever
Came bac from music camp yesterday an it was amazing!!
We were staying at Lendric Muir an had 70 campers all making music for God. Yesterday we had a massive camp concert in the games hall an the sound was amazing we played so many fantastic songs with Highland Cathedral and the theme tunes to batman, LOTR and superman! We also sang a song al together called gonna be a lovely day an it was amazing to have 70 kids just all praising God!
It was also good to see friends an people whom i hadnt seen for a year! Just to catch up with them an have a laugh with them! Met some really good people this year campers an leaders alike...
The evening meetings were really helpful with a different leader just reading a bit from the bible an toking about it! Dougies really hit home for me. He was telling us about the crucifiction and he put it in very simple terms that really brought it bac to you again...nearly every year i hear about the crucifiction and so i tend to switch off as i know the story but i was hooked....he had different coloured tops on signifying different things and it was just good to have a mental image as well as just toking....good on ya dougie!
The evening meetings were also where we just sang songs an praised God! They were really good! an thats not where i totally lost mi voice every night...*coughs* the oi oi songs killed me every night!
every morning i would be soo worried cos i couldnt speek in the morning an had to have about 2 hot oranges an hunni an then about 16 glasses of water over the day so that i didnt cough! i was singing for 3 songs an one was really high! like top note was a high F an the lowest note was a note below middle C!!!!! that was the one that i kept worring that i wouldnt be able to sing! but it was all good!
Now that im bac from camp it was such a safe environment that its hard to get bac into normal life again...everyone wants to be bac at camp but we all know that we cant have it all year round..we just have to trust that God would use us now that we are bac with the information that people have told us....
