I need to decide on a theme for my subjects so I'll always have one
Like I could do song lyrics or quotes or something, but I dunno.
I'm really, honestly and truly going to try to participate on LJ more. I sit down in front of the computer and.. I don't know what I do that I don't have any time for it. It's not like I play any MMOs or anything.
So, first, I've become a teeny bit active on Facebook. I actually have two accounts - one I made with my real name, which I originally made for some Gaia event or other, and then one that I ACTUALLY use which has an internet name. I don't make (very many) real updates with it, though. Mostly I use it to play Pet Society. God, this game is.. I don't even. It's adorable. I was just messing around with it when I made my pet and Allan says she looks "derpy", but rather than make her look like all the other adorable pets on the site, I think I'm going to keep her that way. Her name is Shine, which may change eventually, since it's not very original (that's my internet name most places now) - but I can't think up anything better, so for now it stays.

And as if I'm not enough of a nerd already - the other big internet thing I've become obsessed with is GPXPlus. GTS is the original website, Global Trading Station, and it's for trading Pokemon - finding people to do trades with, etc. GPX+ stands for Global Pokedex Plus, and it's basically an entirely separate thing - it's one of those egg-hatching sites, and the goal is, yes, to hatch them all. But some Pokemon are rarer than others, and Legendary pokemon are only obtainable through events (which they generally hold every month), stuff like that. Your eggs hatch/pokemon grow by being clicked by other people, and you get points for clicking other people's pokemon & eggs.
I dunno, it's pretty neat. I don't do it every day. It's not like it's particularly fun or anything - you're just clicking endlesslly. @A@ It's just another Skinner's box like every other thing I get sucked into, haha. But I do like collecting Pokeymanz. xD My username there is Shinezilla if anyone also has an account there. Really the only thing to do would be add eachother to our Pal Pads.. mine's almost full. xD
And that's another thing, I really thought I didn't want to get HeartGold/SoulSilver but now EVERYBODY I KNOW HAS IT. >A< You guys are making me feel left out! Ugh, it looks so cool, though. I mean, come on, I played these when they came out like ten years ago.. But they've got all these nifty features added in, and a thing that's like the Pikachu pedometer but you can have ANY Pokemon from your game in it and it TRAINS them. D: It sounds so cool!
But it's $40. >-> I still haven't totally beaten Platinum yet. So.. I dunno. There's a totally new Pokemon game in the works right now hopefully to come out early next year, and I'll definitely be getting that one. Pokeymanz, you're just gonna have to wait. ;^;
Haha, my journal entries are always so self-centered. It's not like I can just be like "So how was YOUR day?" though. I mean, that's what your own journals are for. xD
IRL Update: Still no job, but I'm looking - maaaybe not as hard as I could be, though. I'm at my Mom's house right now and going to be getting together all my manga and miscellaneous toys and junk that I don't want and listing them for sale soon. Hopefully. @w@ Allan's doing great at his job though, so that's encouraging, haha. My only concern is my credit cart bill, but we can swing at least the minimums until I find a job. I just hope it doesn't take too long - I really want to have it paid off by the end of the year. DX
