Berkeley!!!

Yesterday I went to Berkeley. That was soo fun! My mom and I flew up there and arrived around 8 in the morning. When we got there, we rented a car. So, we were driving to Berkeley and I told my mom that we needed to take the 80 freeway. The only problems is that I didn't tell her 80 west or east. So we went on the 80 west when I realized that we were on the wrong freeway. The best part was that the wrong freeway had a toll road and more traffic and we couldnt get off until we passed the double decker bridge. The whole idea of taking the wrong road sucked but it was great to actually see the city of San Francisco firsthand because I had never seen it before. I even got to see the Golden Gate Bridge and the Navy headquarters.
So we finally got to Berkeley aroun 9:30 and took a tour and went to an Admissions session. Then we met Pascal. He lives in Tellefsen Hall - the band dorm! Their dorm is soo cool because everyone knows each other because they're all in the band. They do soo much together and it seems like soo much fun! O ya...I forgot to mention the great crepes they have at Berkeley. So, go to Berkeley and get some crepes. Anyways, Pascal took us to the band rehearsal hall. Some of the heads of the Berkeley studen-run band gave us a tour and gave me a clue about appealing to Berkeley if I didn't get in. This was probably the best part because I have a much much higher chance of getting in now. Also, its incredible how much spirit there is at Berkeley. Everyone loooves the band! (unlike at BHHS even though we're the biggest group in the school)
Afterwards, we met Ben Chapman. He took me up the Campanile, which is a huge bell tower in the middle of the campus. The view from this is incredible! If you ever go to Berkeley, make sure to go on that. Then he took us to the library, which we couldn't get into because the librarians there suck, and his dorm. His dorm is really nice.
I forgot to mention something. In one day, I saw 7 out of the 10 students going to Berkeley from BHHS who graduated last year. That's pretty incredible considering how big the campus is and how many people go there.
So, finally I had to leave. Leaving was soo sad because I really like it there and I didn't want to leave my old friends. And it seems like they're all having sooo much fun there. Everyone there could not stop talking about how much fun they were having there. I am soo jealous of them and I just can't wait until college. (149 days left of high school!!!)
And sorry to all those Bruins and Stanford people...but GO BEARS!!!
