(no subject)
Kelly came over today!! yay! It was great catching up with her! She made me a bunch of cds, so I'll be caught up on all the new US music...and I introduced her to the Australian band- The Veronicas, which she also made me a cd of :)
The Australian exhibit at the aquarium was pretty lame...they spent so much time and money on it and then put the most dull looking fish in all of the tanks..although, I guess a lot of the colorful fish I saw were in other parts of the aquarium! I saw cooler stuff in real life snorkeling for free (ok, I guess I had to pay to be in Australia) I think part of the problem was that they focused on the Northern Territory when they could've included cooler animals if they had focused on Western Australia or something! The coolest thing may have been the alligators, which you can see in FLORIDA! They should've had a saltwater croc b/c they're massive and really cool! They probably spent all of their money on the waterfall...anyway, DISAPPOINTING! good thing I went to the actual place and didn't count on the aqaurium (b/c I almost decided not to do study abroad and was just gonna go to the aqaurium, haha)
Tomorrow (or today) my granny/uncle/aunt/cousins are coming over for dinner, so that'll be nice to see them! and I get to go to the grocery store (which I LOVE) but won't have to pay (good thing b/c I have no money) I'll also get to open my xmas gifts from them that are in my room...it does feel like it's xmas break, without a tree...
I need to unpack so I have some room in my room, but I really only sleep there and pretty much all of my stuff is summery...haha, actually most of my stuff here at home is summery- I don't know if I have a real warm coat..should maybe check that out..
they're calling for a chance of snow in the next day or so (unlikely)..I always feel like if it's gonna be cold then there should be snow!
I REALLY want to go to the olympics one day (not to compete, although that'd be amazing)...it'd be fun...I'd want it to be in a cool country too, like this year would've been nice b/c you could go to France and stuff, as well as be in Italy...
final thought: I can't wait to eat a soft pretzel and some tootsie rolls b/c it's been over 7 months!
