He just gets preoccupied and "forgets" that he has a wife and kid. When I'm feeling wicked I call it self-absorbed, but it's mostly just a forgetfulness about us. He works hard during the week, so I can forgive him a weekend of laying around the house married to the remote, but NOT every weekend and it's hard to forgive when there are unfinished projects that need to be done and he's off playing golf in the mtns with his buddies. It's hard to explain - I get tired and frustrated, then I get over it.

I think I know how he feels. You work hard during the week, who wants to do more work. I try super duper hard to do everything during the week so I can have my relax/play time on the weekends. Sometimes I'll have to do a little cleaning on the weekends, but that's about it. However, if he's got undone projects, he needs to get those done. I have a ton of stuff that I need to do to my house, but I've been putting them off and spending the money to go out and have fun.

You know what it is, he's not feeling good and instead of telling me that he's not well, he disengages for a week or two and I'm left thinking what's up with him, where'd he go, why isn't he here with us (emotionally, mentally, etc.)? That's what's going on, he's suffering from allergies and just mentioned it this morning!
I'm the receptionist, keeper and maintainer of the inventory, punching bag for my boss when he gets in a mood, AP girl, toilet cleaner, you name I've probably done it.
