Donde esta estoy?

Tonight at work I had one of the weirdest author signings ever. I basically lost my author for about 30 minutes somewhere inside the huge lair that is Davis-Kidd, and finally found out that he hopped into a cab and left (without signing any books or any such thing). He was very polite and nice... I guess he was just tired. Didn't bother me though (aside from explaining to people what had happened, which was actually kind of funny... we all shared in a little adventure together) because I got to check out of work right on time and go to the movies with Sue.

We were supposed to go see Traveling Pants (which I was coerced to see in Dallas and then loved), but for one night only they weren't showing it due to a sneak peek. So the only other thing that started within 45 minutes of T.P. time was The Perfect Man, starring Hilary Duff, Heather Locklear, and Chris Noth. Sue-Sue treated me to a ticket and off we went! And it was ridiculously bad. Of course. But the rest of the crowd was so into the movie that I sort of enjoyed watching that. Also, Pants has lots of sad moments, so it was nice to see something and remain completely and totally uninvested emotionally.

After the flick we went to On the Border and were seated in the Corner that Time Forgot, where we enjoyed queso bullets, pollo, and caramel cheesecake, as well as a decent view of the Detroit/San Antonio game (go Spurs!). I talked to Ryan finally for a few minutes before his big trip, which was interesting and nice, and Susan is catching up now with Ferzoco in all his Bostonian glory. Wooster!

I'm sleepy and there's much to be done at work tomorrow but I think I'm going to stay at the rat's nest for a movie before going home to let Dexcat roam. And tomorrow night J.R. will be in town! We have a dinner date for Irish food with Jane and Tim Sharp and I am mucho excited... J.R. and I are trying to devise a foolproof plan to make sure that Dr. Sharp pays for our dinner. Hmmm... any suggestions are welcome.
