I love my curly hair, but I'm bored with it. In a few days I'm going to cut some off, and I'm looking for some style ideas. My hairs length is pretty good, maybe a little shorter, but it has no style, just bland.

Excuse my goofy faces:

Definitely some layers, and I think you should part your hair on the side and get some side bangs.

layers how? I've got an insane natural part, but I'd definitely try for a side part and bangs.

Yeah my natural part is ground into my skull, but when it's wet it's more moveable and accepting of change. Layers will make it so your hair has more volume. I agree with anne07213 though, if you ask for a person who knows curly hair they should be able to work with you.

Your hair looks so soft! Judging by the awesome purple piece and the bold eye makeup, I think you could definitely pull off some really fun piece-y layers. I'm not really sure how it works; but my roommate has hair like yours and she had it done for a while, but she never wanted to style it so she let it grow out, haha. She had it cut in layers, but somehow it was cut that when she styled it right, it looked like she had pieces of hair in curls of their own, rather than everything just hanging down... sorry, that probably doesn't make any sense. If you go to a good salon, ask for someone who has dealt with curly hair before, and they can work with you on what you want.

haha thanks. I'm not afraid of changes, really excited mostly. Does her hair get afro-ish? Thats the only part I'm nervous about.

you need more volumes, so do some layers.
and maybe angle it, so it frames your face a bit
