(no subject)
So it's been quite awhile since i've updated. oops. so much has happened, but i'll spare u the details.
In more recent news, i spent last night at my sister Christina's apartment in Boston and we had such a great time! i navigated my way into the city all by myself (something i've been doing a lot of lately, thank u very much!) and was at Christina & Mark's before i knew it! We got some delicious sandwiches from this restaraunt called Flour- i got turkey, lettuce, and cranberry- yum! And Mark got Christina & i this wicked tasty dessert.... ssooooo good!
After dinner Christina and i made our way to the North End to her friend Ashnu's apartment for a girl's night! On the way we passed La Dolce Vita (ah memories!) and just HAD to stop at Mike's for some delectable canoli's! hee hee! Bridget & Sarah arrived a bit after us and we had such a great time just hanging out. i imagine that our gatherings will be like this when we're all in our 20's:) We drank wine, ate yummy breads w/ brie, snacked, and watched tv. it was just a chill, fun night. i like that i can hang out with my sister's older friends and just fit right in:)
Sarah drove us back to the apartment where we headed to bed. They get NOGGIN so i was pumped! and, being the lucky girl that i am, DEGRASSI was on!! hell yeah.
This morning Christina, Mark, and i went to brunch at Tremont 647 (or something like that). it was so cute- the waiters were all in their bathrobes and pj's. it was such a cool place and had great lighting. i got these amazing french toast sticks and seasoned potato things- YUM! (haha, i enjoy how this entry is filled w/ all the great food i ate) After brunch we walked along the streets b/c it was so nice out! We went into all these cool furniture stores and a gallery. Then we went to Copley (yay!) and walked around; all three of us ended up buying things at Levi's- i got this cute pink hoodie for $12! Christina and i jokingly contemplated going to Tiffany & Co. and then i was like 'what the hell! come on!' So we browsed to our hearts desire.... as Mark sat on a bench, haha! We discussed rings and the type of wedding ring we'd prefer. i wasn't really into their current selection, but they did have a lot of pretty gems, and come on, it's always fun to look:)
We headed out a bit after that and stopped by Christina's friend Pat's place. He lives in a brownstone apartment- very cute place. After, we stopped back at the apartment, got my stuff, and then they drove me back to school. We drove down by the pretty mansions; i want one so bad!!! Mark hadn't been to my school yet so i gave the driving tour and then we went to the Lodge. Mark was very excited about the foosball table so after we ate we played a few intense rounds- me & Christina vs. him. Then we played air hockey. it was a very fun afternoon, i'm glad they came.
it makes me feel good to get out and do stuff on the weekends. i have the past 2 weekends and it just helps to break things up and keeps me from sleeping away the weekends.
Briefly, second semester is going pretty well. Some classes are harder than others but i'm enjoying myself more b/c i'm not so intensely stressed all the time. Highlites include: 119 exercise, 'i want some eggs.... and some pancakes..... and some bacon', the random weekend in Feb when the F5 (minus Lyss) was reunited, Outbacking w/ Molly, good talks w/ Kat, visiting Molly @ PC, taking the roomies Outbacking, going to the MFA & shopping on Newbury St. w/ Kate, and sssoooooooooo much more but that's all that i can remember right now. i'm ready for Spring Break though. Just one more week! i'm gonna work at Swan but i also have so many things planned, including F5 reunited, Portsmouth day trip, lit study session get together, etc, so i'm quite excited!
Well i think that i'm going to try to be productive since this is gonna be a kinda heavy week work wise- boo! i'll leave you with these gems:
