bride's maids
I just got an email from baby sister with the subject line "Brides Maids" and first line reading: So you know your'e in my wedding right? Um, no I wasnt aware. interesting way to ask! Not surprising really... Im actually rather surprised I was asked. Rational sister and I were discussing if we would be asked. We also were discussing who would be maid of honor, and how we would feel if she had her friend do it rather than one of us. I told her that I figured that she would be MoH, since she's closer in age and friendship to her. She said there's a high likely hood that her friend would be. We both agreed that we would be a bit put out that a sister wasnt the MoH. Interestingly, mom didnt think that was strange and thought that we were odd for saying we'd be a bit upset about it. Not enough to say anything about it, but we agreed that being BMs while someone else was MoH would be a bit of a slap in the face, what with "tradition" and all........ I dont know who is the MoH at this point. Guess its not me....
whaddya think? All few of you readers, would you be upset if your sister chose a friend over you or other siser to be MoH??
*edit* Just spoke with rational sister. She got the same email and also had no idea she was slated to be a BM. Still no idea who is the MoH. There are two of her friends slated as well, both of whom she has had seriously rocky times with (like years without speaking!) so man if on of them is... thats a big ol slap in the face (in my mind at least.. the question still stands)
