Shabbat in Hilton Head, SC
Hello folks!
For those of you who were with me last week after Shabbat ended, I was a little worked up about this Shabbat. Everything has turned out well. I got to the condo early enough Friday afternoon to kasher stuff and get set up for Shabbat. I didn't go out to dinner with my family last night (several hours before Shabbat ended-- yay being in the south). And they respected me for holding my ground. I rode my bike to the beach yesterday so I could be with the family (they drove), and I got lucky. It didn't break. :) Every time the gears clicked I cringed, but I got there, and the five miles of bike riding made me really happy. I'm definitely exploring this funny little island on my bike this afternoon. :) Yay hydration pak and huge shade trees!
Last night the bobos in the next condo decided that it was okay for them to be out on the deck drinking and screaming until 4am, but I'd had a pretty long nap yesterday afternoon (since I hadn't had much else to do as Shabbat waned); so, it didn't really matter. I'm about to head back to the beach... and I'll catch up with y'all when I get back to Marietta.
