We were at home when I realized I needed to get my german book for a project
So my mom took me to school and we were on our way back
And this woman had her own lane and pulled infront of us for no reason
Oh well, I let it pass
My mom was again saying "Mexicee? Chini?"
Guess what that means
And I got fed with it, especially when we pulled up and it was a white woman
And I said... mom you can't say that, it's not nice
She said, well it's true, asians are bad drivers
And I said, yea mom, that's a stereotype
She started getting anal at this point
"You said you don't like tan girls," she said
I said, well yea, I'm not attracted to them but I'm not judging them
Then she started saying "Well if you don't like it, just close your ears"
I said mom... That's an ignorant thing to say about race
She said so what?
I said... mom, we're all here on earth and if we keep adding onto a bad thing (racism/stereotypes) it's not going to get any better, Imagine someone coming up to us and saying terrorist
She said... so?
;lfakj;elkjds
We get home and she says, You won't see me helping out out
I said, Mom... all I said was that it isn't a nice thing
She was still being mean
I grabbed my notebook and started walking away... you could kinda say I ran away but without the running part
I was observing the beauty of nature I saw earlier today in english
We communed with nature and I wrote one of my best pieces of poetry and one of my first with God in it, I'll show it to you when i get it back from the teacher
So I just kept walking and thinking of how messed up what my mom said was and started hoping for a quiet nature commune
I started thinking about the park... I finally got there and looked around for a nice tree, I grabbed the doggie plastic bags and put them on the ground so I wouldn't dirty up my pants, it was comfortable there... so peaceful.. so inspiring
I wrote a nice one page poem/song
i was there until right after sunset... it was beautiful
I love nature... I want to go on a walk with someone sometime... it would be beautiful
And you guys are so lucky to be able to see my poetry now :-)
Can you see through the skin
See through and see the heart within?
I am not ignorant or naive
It's just I believe
In Man
And you may never understand
We are one
And gaze at the same sun
Believing in love
Higher than above
It may be just me
I believe what you see
Breathe all air
Hold what is there
I'm not ignorant or naive
It's just I believe
In Man
And you may never understand
Flesh and bone are within us all
With words we fly and we may fall
Live our lives together
Hold me in the brittle weather
I'm not ignorant or naive
It's just I believe
In you and I
In a watcher in the sky
And Man
And for this I will Stand
