So, fall is quickly upon us, and soon prime lolita weather will be at an end. Soon we will be in the clutches of winter, which is fun for some things, but my personal favorite season for lolita is spring! Which is why I'm planning a meetup for the spring called...
That's right, Animal Party returns!!!
A while ago I hosted a party at my house called Animal Party. Everyone wore an animal themed outfit, whether it was a print featuring animals or animal-esque elements to the outfits. This spring, I'd like to bring Animal Party back... to the Bronx Zoo!
This is a REALLY early announcement, but I wanted to give my FL more time to plan an animal outfit, since not everyone will have animal things in their wardrobe already. I'm thinking we will do the meetup in early May. We'll have a rain date too, since spring weather can be temperamental. I'll post it to the main comms later in the winter. :)
So what are the guidelines for the outfits?
Even if it's only vaguely animal themed, that's fine! You could even wear cat ears and mittens for paws if you wanted to! Keep in mind that we will still be walking about in public though, so maybe the cat eye contacts and fangs should stay home ;P But if you're looking for an opportunity to wear those Milky-chan ears you fought tooth and nail for on Y!J, then this is your chance!
To give you some ideas of what to wear, Christy was a tiger prince with tiger striped prince pants and a kodona jacket. Martha was a rabbit, wearing Cherry Berry Bunny and a bunny eared hood. Nancy was a ladybug, in a red and black classic outfit with a feather fascinator with antennae sticking out of it! Stuff like that! Be creative!
I'm already working on my outfit, and it's almost complete. What animal am I going as?
