putting up blinders

sidewalk art show on the 31st, 1st, and 2nd. it will be full of highly pretentious unpersonal art that says nothing about me. thank god. with the amount of self-obsession that goes on in art, who needs more of it. hasn't anyone ever heard of something called privacy? (as i post on a`site that glorifies the lack of it)

senior ball friday. last year i wanted to be nicole kidman. this year, i think i'll settle with figuring out how to put on eyeliner, and remembering to buy a boutinerre. where does a girl sign up for these classes?

and how does one spell boutinerre? boutounierre? botounerinouerenouneerre?

reading Moving Mars by Greg Bear. highly interesting, far more than I thought. I particularly liked the revolutionaries, the culture-saturation and self-obsession of Earth, zach hoffman, and the way he describes the constitutional process in creating an Earth-like democracy with four branches (the other being extraplanetary) that deals with Binding Multiple Heinlein-like family structures, except applied to economics. but Bell's continuum? mirror matter? come on, dude, bit of a stretch. but the big push part about migrating to the stars and how it's not really the issue? very cool.

alan janigianuingininan will be sent to the deepest circle of hell for stealing my sushi.

vote for molly bennett! she makes an excellent prostitute! and she loves bananas! and she publishes The Flying Featherduster! what more could one ask for in a public official? (what is she running for, anyway...?)

any ex-germanites want to tutor my brother? he has a D. and is going to hell too. apparently.
