I need sewing help! I just posted this on Craftster and thought, hey! I know a sewing whiz who might be able to help! Any wisdom, oh sewing guru?
Hello, folks. I'm hoping that someone can help me with a project... I'm making throw pillows as a very very very late Christmas present, and I bought some cord trim to use as edging. I sewed the cord to one of the panels and then took a look at it and found that quite a bit of the bias tape stuff that the cord is attached to shows. I sewed it on wrong-side-to-wrong side. Is there a way I can tighten the edges up so that the tape doesn't show?
I was thinking that I could also hem the edges of the panels, and then sew the cord to it. However, I've already cut out the fabric, and want to be careful not to use up too much allowance so that the pillow forms no longer fit inside.
I have a feeling that I've done a horrible job explaining this, but if you can make out what I'm talking about and help me, I'd be most appreciative!
Thanks,
Erica
