Crafty Stuff

I'm a sewing fool. Here are some projects I've taken on. Gwensmom is my personal hero. I want to be her when I grow up. I'm not quite ready to modify things yet. Most of the patterns and instructions for this stuff came from Craftster.org.

Also, if you want to read updates on my fascinating life, visit my blog. I love keeping up with my n-ness friends by reading your LJs but have been thinking that I run the risk of becoming an observer only, since I don't use my LJ for much...

A quilt I'm working on for a friend of mine. This is my first quilt! I'm waiting for a walking foot to come in the mail so I can do the actual quilting part...

This is a pillow I made from "string-quilting" blocks. I really like the way it turned out. I'm tempted to keep it for myself, but it matches the quilt and is part of the present.

This is a totebag I made for Dylan's daycare. I screwed up the straps - one of them wound up turned, even though I redid it. In the end I just cut the strap and resewed it. I keep meaning to put something over the Frankenstein seam, but I haven't been bothered enough to do it.

I also have pictures of my piece-de-resistance - a wallet/purse thing made out of an old book. It's a birthdy gift for my sis. The pic is still on the camera, so I need to download and upload and post, which seems like a lot of trouble at the moment.
