don't panic-- there simply is no need.
My summer class is almost over. Which is bad news in disguise because I have lots of work to do in preparation for the end. We have a portfolio due Wednesday that contains all the written assignments we've done, plus some essays and summaries. Then we have a research paper due on Sunday. I haven't actually started on this research paper. I printed out some articles and I've tried to read some a few times and I always end up asleep or on facebook. Typical.
I went home over the weekend for Father's Day. It's always lovely to go home, it brings back good memories. I will be sad whenever my dad moves or whenever I move too far to come home often. On Friday I watched the Little Mermaid and then Saturday was a REAL treat. My dad found out that I haven't been clothing shopping because I can't afford it and hate the Toledo mall (just because I'm always there, working) and he gave me money to shop with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Talk about a great Father's Day present for ME! So I got a lot of stuff. I was actually really pleased with myself. Living with Megan has been good for my shopping habits.
Megan always comes home with shopping bags and she's like "this one was $5, this one was $7" (etc) and I'm always thinking 'how does she FIND stuff so cheap?' And It's made me a better shopper. Except I bought a bracelet for $20. But aside from that, I did GOOD. Not as good as Megan does, but good nonetheless.
Then I spent the rest of Saturday with Michael. And Rudy. Awkward.
SUNDAY was the 'BIG DAY'... we had breakfast with Grandpa then lunch with just the 3 of us (my brother came home the weekend prior so he wasn't able to attend). Then I did homework and drove back to Toledo. I was REAL sleepy when I got back.
So we're going to see the John Mayer/Ben Folds concert July 1. Which sounds crazy because I don't really like John Mayer but the roomies love him and i really like Ben Folds so we're GOING. It'll be REAL fun.
Speaking of the roomies, so little time left with them. I wish we were all living together next year too. And the next year and FOREVER. Yikes. That's a little extreme. But I will be sad not living with them. I'm living with my friend Kelsie next year though and it's sure to be great fun. :)
Jack's mannequin is the best summer music ever. When I'm too lazy to create a list of summer songs but I'm feeling 'summery' I always put them on.
