Earthquake '08
That's what they are calling it. The 5.2 quake that hit Illinois today @ 4:37 a.m. and the subsquent aftershock @ 10. For me, I was awakened to my bed shaking; a very strange feeling indeed. I think this is the only earthquake I remember feeling. It made me realize the Missourian and Illini don't really think about a quake happening. I do remember a few years back, however, the mania surrounding the New Madrid "big one" and how we are overdue. We are still overdue and there will probably be a "big one" in my lifetime, but it is funny how it goes in spurts nof coverage.
