So this week one of my students was both suspended and taken to the hospital in the same day, for the same incident.
He brought matches and a lighter to school...for no reason, supposedly. Then, during one of his classes (not in mine) he decides to call some random girl a "Two-Cent Ho" and proceeds to try and light her on fire. Said student, however, is less than adept at using matches, and is unsuccessful in his torching attempt. Girl tells security later, and they go looking for the boy. The boy, in an attempt to get rid of the evidence, proceeds to EAT THE MATCHES. The whole book of them. Unfortunately, the dumbass forgot about the lighter, and he was subsequently suspended. Furthermore, an ambulance was called in case the ingested matches produced any ill effects. Apparently not, because he was in school the next day, got kicked out of another class for throwing chalk and was sent to our office.
Lesson of the Day- You can eat a whole book of matches and not get sick.
